Creating safe havens for Australia's threatened wildlife.

Barbaloot regenerates Australian ecosystems and protects threatened species. We carefully restore habitats to help wildlife thrive – like the Southern Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby, Gang-gang cockatoo and Brush-tailed Phascogale.

Our first conservation reserve sits on Taungurung Country in the Strathbogie Ranges, a granite tableland rising between the Goulburn and Broken River valleys in north-east Victoria. Weathered boulders and deep forest gullies shelter rare understory plants like the Fern-leaf Hop-bush and native grasses such as the Rye Beetle-grass — precarious survivors of a landscape shaped over hundreds of millions of years.

But our story is just beginning. As part of the Blast Group ecosystem, we’re part of a network reimagining how we interact with nature.

Projects

In collaboration with Odonata Foundation and the Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby National Recovery Team, we monitor a population of Southern Brush-tailed Rock Wallabies. A species listed as Critically Endangered in Victoria. Their population has been steadily increasing since we began monitoring in early 2023.
